By working closely with the Senior Management Team of a Multi-Million £ Logistics Operation it was possible to establish the type of culture that the team wanted to create on-site. prior to the commencement of the recruitment process for all other staff.

The business needed to change the way it operated from an autocratic management style to more of a team approach, where everyone felt they had a significant part to play. It was imperative that Managers at all levels fully understood not just what they needed to achieve but how they were to perform their tasks.

By utilising questionnaires and psychometric tests to establish the target culture, Managers were recruited against the values that the culture must demonstrate.

The results of this approach meant that the site opened successfully with people feeling that they were listened to, supported and feeling that their contribution was valued.

Recent Projects - 'Teamwork, Teambuilding and Team Leadership'
Working with a newly formed management team within a High Street retailer we discovered how difficult it is to bring a number of strong willed individuals together and expect them to operate as a single-minded team. This process can often be traumatic for those involved.

Establishing a climate of how people were going to work together was the initial task. For this team, it proved particularly challenging initially where mutual respect was lacking and support was minimal.

By working closely with this team and helping them to understand and appreciate how different and beneficial operating as a team could be, and challenging them as individuals to behave in a very different way for the overall benefit of the team, meant that this team, over time, felt able to both support and challenge each other and turn themselves into a very high performing team. They proved to be excellent role models for the rest of the business.
